About

Hello!

My name is Andrew Ketcham, I’m currently a sophomore at Loyola University New Orleans pursuing degrees in English Writing and Mass Communication. I’m a creative New Orleanian with a passion for creative and engaging social media advertising campaigns.

I was born in Fort Myers, Florida in 1993 though I spent much of my life living in Miami– the city I now consider my original home. In 2011, I graduated from Bishop Verot High School and moved to New Orleans, Louisiana to start my career at Loyola University New Orleans. Originally a creative writing student, I found my passion for advertising and social media during my first semester as a sophomore. Through the past year, I’ve finally succeeded in finding ways to combine my love for writing with the dynamic interfaces and mediums of digital design.

I’m also very passionate about Student Affairs, and spend much of my free time working in the offices of Admissions, Residential Life and Co-Curricular Programs. Last summer, I had to opportunity to serve as a New Student Orientation or “Krewe” Leader, and was invited to serve again this summer. I have also served as Vice President of Pack|Pride–Loyola’s Queer-Straight Student Alliance, and Ambassadors– our recruitment and campus tour team. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with Co-Curricular Programs in a 3 part series of semester long leadership development workshops entitled Emerging Leaders, a program for which I will serve as facilitator during my Junior year. Most recently, I’ve served as President of the Buddig Residential Hall Council, as well as Pi Kappa Phi fraternity, the newest fraternity chapter at Loyola in over 20 years.

My ultimate dream in life would be to work for Conde Nast publications, though I’m exploring the possibility of working as a leadership consultant for Pi Kappa Phi’s national office, or stay at Loyola as either an admissions counselor or assistant coordinator in Co-Curricular Programs.
